Sync at the Speed of Success π : Pardot and Salesforce Sync
-Noticing that your records from Pardot/Account Engagement don't sync with Salesforce on time?
-Do you frequently execute data updates on a large prospect database and Salesforce users are late to catch up with recent record modifications?
Discrepancy between records is not just confusing for your internal teams but can also hinder effective communications with the end-user.
Pardot-Salesforce sync breakdown
-Individual prospect records synchronize with Salesforce in near real-time, although the general guideline suggests a sync duration of 2-4 minutes.
-For prospect sync size of more than 400 records, Pardot syncs data with Salesforce in batches. The default batch size is 12000 records per hour. Sync speed can be increased by Salesforce on request: 12,000(default), 24,000, 36,000, 48,000 etc.
-You can reach out to Salesforce support if you want to check the current sync speed.
Is it recommended to increase the sync speed ?
Yes/No : Take into consideration the nature of your marketing operation, size of database in each system and business use case. Increasing the sync speed can cause data collision in Salesforce.
Data collision occurs when more than one user tries to modify the same record. Users of Salesforce will see an error message on salesforce records while trying to save such records.
Hope this information is helpful for Pardot admins. Pardot is not a it is what it is marketing tool. You can customize various aspects of Pardot to meet your requirement. Always make informed decisions by checking with the Salesforce team.
